We skipped Moose Jaw today and went directly to Regina instead. That's 250km of cycling. We averaged at about 35km/hr because the wind was at our back the entire day. It was such an easy freaking day. I doubt it will get this easy again.
We're staying in the basement of an elderly gentleman's daughter's place here in Regina. They're really friendly and hospitable. There's even a foosball table in the basement if we want to play it (but I don't because foosball is for chumps).
The city itself is beautiful and is a cake to navigate. Stunning old houses relentlessly caught our gazes as we cycled into the city centre - the distraction was probably rather dangerous.
For dinner we went to a place called the Slow Pub. I had a jerk chicken pizza that ranked amongst the best pizzas I've ever had. The restaurant also happened to be a microbrewery and so I had a stout called Snow Bunny. It was a strong, creamy, chocolaty stout with caramel flavors and a lingering finish. It's the best beer I've had on the trip so far and it's from Saskatchewan. Who knew?
After dinner we went to the Safeway to find dessert. I bought a pecan pie and ate most of it myself. It was 420 calories per sixth of the pie and I ate the quarters of it. Delicious. Pecan pie is delicious. Sugar is delicious. Delicious is delicious. I'm tired and probably delicious. Delicious...zzzzzz...
WHY AREN'T THERE BIGGER VERSIONS OF THE PICTURES WHEN I CLICK ON THEM?!?!
